The modules I have built, and will build, includes:
The standards I've chosen for my modules is a mix of Fremo (F96), Fremo HO-USA (more valley like)
and the predominating standard used in Sweden, MMM-Västerås modul.
Since the modules will be used on meetings where the MMM is the rule, I also have made a few adapters that
connects the MMM to F96 etc
I have been a model railroader since 2004. I bought the first HO set (Märklin) for my son in the fall of 2004.
In 2005, I built him a permanent layout, but it was not much fun driving slow trains compared to driving Scalectrix
racing cars. so he lost interest.
I, however, rediscovered the fun in building things.
In my early teens, I used to build models (planes, cars ships...). The construction phase of the first layout got me started again.
After this, thanks to the web and the plethora of forums, I came in contact with a modular group. This got me into modules.
I also discovered that it was more fun to build things (landscape, structures, woodworking, electrics, ...) and to run long trains point-to-point, rather than around small loops, so I sold the permanent layout, thus freeing room for a bunch of modules.
I have mostly Märklin locos and cars, but plan on expanding my fleet in DCC land. Therefore my modules are built to run in dual mode,2-rail and 3-rail.
Other interests include photography and golf.
